Multicultural Indian-Slovenian Destination Wedding in Paris

Josephine and Andrej met at the University of Northern Iowa, in the summer of 2007 while Andrej was pursuing his Bachelor’s degree, and Josephine was pursing her Master’s. The couple started as casual friends and stayed online friends through the years. After losing contact, the couple resumed contact sometime in 2013 and their friendship & love developed from there.

Josephine’s culture does not have the tradition of engagements, and neither does Andrej’s culture, which is probably Andrej never proposed!! He didn’t even have a plan. One day, while the couple was at Josephine’s home in India, they just randomly decided to get engaged. They bought a ring from the local goldsmith’s store and had a small, non-official ceremony with Josephine’s parents, a few relatives, and the pastor of Josephine’s church to bless the occasion.

For their official ceremony, Josephine planned the destination wedding in Paris with the help of Andrej. The couple wanted to make sure their wedding was deeply personal and intimate, attended by immediate family and lifelong friends.
