Urban Charlotte Engagement Session (North Carolina)

Isaac and Robin met in August of 2004, during the beginning of Fall semester on the campus of Livingstone College, where they were each registering for classes. Who knew that their chance encounter would lead to a lifetime together.

For their proposal, Isaac convinced Robin’s friends to persuade Robin to throw him a surprise 30th birthday! With her friends keeping her busy, Isaac switched the occasion from the planning of a surprise birthday party to planning a surprise proposal.The planning period was funny, as Isaac had to track behind Robin to cancel all the plans she was making for him with the various parties. In fact, one company almost gave Isaac’s entire surprise away when Robin called to do a follow-up!

On the day of the proposal, Isaac told Robin that his aunt had purchased a helicopter tour around the city of Charlotte for his birthday. The couple began the ride around Charlotte and midway through, the pilot told them to put on blind folds that were provided. He told them that there was a surprise waiting for the both of them once they landed. When Robin stepped out the helicopter, all of their friends and family were holding candles, arranged spelling out “Will You Marry Me”.

Their engagement shoot had an urban vibe in uptown Charlotte. The location captured a little backdrop of the Queen City style and artistic structure which complimented with the couple’s vibe.
