Colorful Engagement Session at Baltimore’s Graffiti Alley (Baltimore, MD)
From the Photographer: When we sat down with Keisha and Anthony, after flipping through the client guide they both knew exactly what location and mood they wanted to have for their session. They started sharing ideas of bold dramatic looks, On The Run vibes, fur coats and matching shoes. They had months to plan and include what creative vendors they wanted to use to incorporate in to their shoot and well…. we think they did a pretty damn good job pulling this look off (and we tried out some new photography techniques with these two that we’re pretty excited about!). We can’t wait to see how they use these photos for their Save the Dates!

Client Questionnaire
Q1: Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?
A1: We were introduced to one another through a mutual friend. Anthony and the friend were both groomsmen together in a wedding and he thought the two of us would be a great match.
Q2: What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?
A2: In looking at our backgrounds, Anthony and I are the epitome of opposites attract. We never would have sought after one another and that is perhaps why it works so well. We were both attracted to the wrong types of people. We are enough opposite but enough alike to make our relationship so special and so unique. We grow each other in areas that we are both deficient in and we love to create new experiences with each other.
Q3: How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship? (these may often be the same moment, but aren’t always)
A3: I knew instantly that Anthony was the one. We had started off our relationship long distance, with him being in Kentucky and me being in Maryland. We would have Skype dates frequently and from that, I knew he was special. The icing on the cake was when Anthony and I met in person in Milwaukee over 4th of July weekend 2015. It solidified our connection and I knew that at some point I wanted to be with him for the long haul.
Q4: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
A4: On May 19, 2018, Anthony asked if I wanted to go on a date nigh to the National Harbor ( where we had our first date). After getting there, we walked on the pier where he initially asked me to be his girlfriend. At that moment, he asked me if I would be his wife. Unbeknownst to me, Anthony had hired photographers ( one of which was a childhood friend) to document the entire proposal. Afterwards, Anthony asked if I wanted drinks at a local restaurant to which we walked over and a group of our friends and family awaited us.
Q5: We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!
A5: Anthony did a fabulous job with the ring. He is a jewelry guru so I had no doubt that when that day came, I would be blown away. The ring is an infinity design with a halo setting.
Q6: Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
A6: I am sooooo excited. Growing up, I was never the girl who had envisioned her wedding- I just never knew if it would happen. Anthony made me excited to plan- excited to see that for our future. We are actually in the final stages of planning- the countdown is on! #DashtoClash #11/2/19
