A NOLA Love Story (New Orleans, LA)

Q: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

A: I wanted a very neutral color palette. Simple and Clean. The reception venue was chosen for its history, it was once apart of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and was broken off and ship to New Orleans. Can you think of a more romantic setting? We also incorporate our culture With the signature second-line band.

Q: Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

A: The decor was simple and clean. Whites and neural and sparkle. No fuss! We let the space speak for itself.

Q: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

A: Florals were minimal. With round bouquets and arrangements. All white. It tied it with the whole modern simplicity vibe.

Q: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

A: My favorite part of the wedding was the ride to the reception. That moment when it’s just your and your new spouse. It’s magical!

Q: Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

A: All I knew was that I wanted lace! I waned a traditional look with a modern, elegant touch. And a classic white and black tux for the groom. The girls were is satin and sequins which glowed beautifully at a night time affair.

Q: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

A: W have known each other most of our lives. Our two older sisters were life long best friends and one day after I graduated college we connected. It’s all history from there. The proposal was an experience. Lol. He had a plan of doing it at a wine tasting(I looovee wine) but me not being the most social person, didn’t want to go out that night. So he had to make alternate plans. We were out for a moment and he had our home decorated with rose petals and candles and got on one knee. It was intimate and sweet! just how I would have wanted it.

Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

A: The reception! I couldn’t wait to party, for all the preparations to be over. To be husband and wife.

Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

A: Communicate your wants up front and work as a team. Be realistic. And just go with the flow. The wedding is one day, your marriage is for life!
