Yanique wanted to commemorate her 30th birthday with something special. So she booked a portrait session for her and her husband, Mike. I always preach that birthday sessions are not just reserved for cake smashes and kiddos, but for adults too! So I was all over this idea! Since many women seem to dread getting older, I was very pleased to see someone who wanted to celebrate their thirties.

Since the weather and seasonal colors are so unpredictable in February, we decided Cylburn Arboretum was the best place for their session. It has a variety of stonework, evergreen trees, and a brush field that gets a nice, warm color this season. We met just prior to sunset and were graced with beautiful, golden light during the session. I loved photographing Yanique and Mike and capturing their love!
