A Fall Wedding at the Estates of Sunnybrook (Toronto)

As told by Samantha Ong Photography: Stacy and Stephen had an intimate wedding with their families and friends at the lovely McLean House at The Estates of Sunnybrook! It’s always a pleasure to photograph here because of it’s beautiful and classic architecture. Stephen is actually an Architectural Lighting Designer so appreciates the beauty of this venue! I recently photographed their engagement session at the Scarborough Bluffs, a place that they’ve spent most of their lives since they actually go way back having met in high school! I got to know their shy quiet demeanors which match each other so perfectly! Their wedding day was such a sweet day. The girls were dressed in shades of purple (wisteria, plum, and dusty purple to be exact!). The florals were the perfect colors for the cooler Fall season but yet still so lush! I love the simplicity and elegance of their 3-tiered white wedding cake topped with matching purple flowers. But Stacy’s engagement ring and wedding band have got to be the coolest ring I have ever seen! I am so in love with the deep royal blues that pop from the gold bands. There were so many moments to cherish from their wedding, but my most favorite moment was when Stacy and Stephen danced to a slow acoustic rendition of “So Into You”. It was so heartfelt and emotional that I think tears were coming down many people’s faces, including my own! I love love love that about them – that they are both very authentic to who they are as a person and also to each other.
