Whipple Wedding on The Treasury on the Plaza (St. Augustine, FL)

A: Brittani’s best friend and Brian worked together and she played matchmaker. Brittani & Brian were formally introduced on July 10, 2008, at a local Chick-fil-A and there was an immediate connection.

Q: What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?

A: We believe that our spiritual and emotional connection makes our relationship special. We are both grounded in many of the same values and have many of the same interests. We both enjoy making the best out of what we have and having fun. We enjoy the simple things in life such as binge watch TV shows together to pillow fights.

Q: How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship? (these may often be the same moment, but aren’t always)

A: There was an instant physical attraction the very second that we laid eyes on each other. I’m not sure that we can pinpoint the exact moment but a major factor that made us realize that we had the found “the one” was when we had our son, Jaiden. We realized a new level of selflessness and unconditional love. Our love grew deeper and stronger.

Q: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

A: The proposal was the day before Brian’s mother’s wedding and we headed to the “rehearsal dinner”. I felt the urge to put on makeup so I applied it in the car on the way to the Sun Dial Restaurant. I was greeted by Brian’s sister as he parked the car (got his emotions together). As we headed up the elevator we looked at the Atlanta Skyline. As the elevator opened we were greeted by our son, our parents and siblings holding signs that read “Mommy, daddy wants to ask will you marry me?” It was the best surprise proposal EVER.

A: The ring is a beautiful princess cut that Brittani will never be caught without.
