Villa Playa Maria Destination Wedding (Puerto Rico)
Ariel and Darrin’s wedding day was packed with brimming ideas, charm, and romance. The couple wanted a small and intimate wedding, so they decided to have their wedding on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, where the groom’s side of the family is from. The wedding day started with a dazzling sun casting golden rays on villa’s beachfront. The couple’s “getting ready” process was jubilant and fun, as evidenced by the first-look pictures, which took place behind the coconut trees along the beach.
Even though the couple had a destination wedding, it was still filled with a lot DIY details. For example, Darrin’s aunt made most of the flower arrangements used in the decorations, as well as dyed the sand and put together the couple’s sand ceremony jars. She also put together the centerpieces and added the tulle to the chairs. The bride made all the bouquets, boutonnieres, and flower crowns. Additionally, the couple bought and traveled with their own plate ware, napkins, and utensils used at the reception.
After the reception, Ariel and Darrin wanted one last photo opportunity in Rincon. What better way to end a wedding in Rincon than with a sunset shoot along the beach?
