Walt Disney Proposal at Be Our Guest and Magic Kingdom (Florida)
Sasha and Joey met at a tattoo shop where Joey worked as a piercer. They met through mutual friends and although they didn’t really get along at first, they became friends after a few weeks. Their friendship developed over time and they soon realized that the friendship was becoming so much more than that and they embraced it.
Joey proposed to Sasha on April 22, 2017, the day after her 25th birthday. He planned a trip to Disney for her birthday and then added that they’d be having dinner at Be Our Guest, a restaurant created after Sasha’s favorite Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast. They spent the day at the parks, then changed for dinner. They had an amazing meal, talked, laughed, and just enjoyed being with each other. When it came time for dessert, Sasha asked to try some of “the grey stuff”. The waiter brought out a cute dessert plate with a candle in it and also brought out a dessert tray. Joey sang her happy birthday and the waiter then said he had brought out something special from the kitchen. He put a plate down in front of Sasha that read “Will you marry me?”. She immediately turned and saw Joey kneeling down with the ring in front of him. Despite all of the yelling and cheering from the other people in the ballroom, she only saw him. Joey spent a lot of time and effort trying to make this the most special moment for her, only to have it almost ruined by security! He pulled it off, though. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
