Vintage Sage and Blush Wedding (Columbia, SC)
As told by the bride:
“In choosing a golf course as our venue, we wanted a beautiful and tranquil scene. I was inspired to have an elegant outdoor wedding, by my own relationship. We love to sit outside on our porch and spend intimate time together. We do various activities outside such as meditating, relaxing, entertaining guests, and conversing. The theme was “rekindled love” because we decided to get married on our 10 year anniversary. Our color palette was sage and blush which describes who we are in our relationship. We’re determined and persevering (shades of green) and romantic and soft with one another (shades of pink).
I wanted simple flowers and decorations that when paired together created a romantic and elegant look; so, I chose pink petal roses, white hydrangeas, baby’s breath, peonies, and long stem calla lilies. We draped ivory pearls on the back of the chairs and on my bouquet to accent the flowers. I love candles so we had the reception area filled with them! We had candelabras and lanterns with a candle in it as the centerpiece on our guest tables. I chose a simple natural look for my day. My wedding dress was coffee and champagne with pearl beading on the bodice so I wanted a natural look with my hair in a bun to show off the detailed pearls on the dress. The most special moment of my wedding day was gazing into my husband’s eyes as we exchanged our vows. We were so engaged with one another and every sense in my body was heightened.”
