Sunday Brunch Wedding in Uptown Charlotte (NC)

Summer & Josh met on November 26th, 2010 & tied the knot exactly seven years later – to the day! Josh is originally from North Carolina & Summer originally from Ohio! The couple exchanged vows at the Charlotte Marriott City Center Hotel with a beautiful mid-day brunch themed wedding. The decor was modern with hints of Ivory & Gold throughout the venue. Guests were served Mimosa’s immediately following the ceremony & enjoyed dancing the afternoon away. Summer & Josh originally planned on having a destination wedding in Puerto Rico but due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria, they had to change just about every detail of their special day. But everything flowed so smoothly you would have never known how quickly this wedding was put together. The details were extremely elegant with the bride’s dress being designed by Zac Posen. Beautiful floral arrangements complimented their color scheme (ivory, gold, and light pink accents) and the venue. All of the décor was DIY (i.e., centerpieces, cake stands, and all of the fresh flower arrangements, bouquets, and boutonnières).

Their wedding was short & sweet as the didn’t have a formal bridal party. Summer was given away by her Father & Son Jordan who is 15 years old and absolutely elated to see his mother walk down the aisle! Their couples portraits were taken outside of the Mint Museum Uptown Charlotte with the backdrop of a beautiful decorative wall & sculpture. The couple captured a few final images on a bridge in NoDa that showed the beautiful skyline of the Queen City! The McMillans enjoyed a beautiful honeymoon stay in Grand Cayman Island.
