Southern Roots Meets City Charm Engagement Session (Charlotte, NC)
From the photographer: Tray and James hail from opposite ends of the country. She’s a southern belle who loves the outdoors, warm weather and sweet tea, he’s a city boy, raised in NJ who thrives in urban settings and fast paced life.
They wanted to incorporate that contrast in their engagement session so we settled on a gorgeous garden setting for Tray’s part and a city rooftop for James’ part. The session was utter perfection!!
These two met when their moms hooked them up and they’ve been going strong ever since. James proposed with the help of Tray’s mom, by setting up a fake housewarming party. Tray just thought everyone was there to celebrate her new move, but instead, they were there to celebrate her ENGAGEMENT!! They both live in Columbia, SC but will be getting married at Noah’s Event Venue in Charlotte, NC.
Ok ok…so tell us about the big question. How did it happen?
My mom plan a fake housewarming party and invited friend and family over. About 20 minutes into the shindig she took me upstairs to distract me while more of close family were trickling in and once everything was settled we went back downstairs and I walked into my Fiancé on his knees! Turns out it was an engagement party!
