Riviera Maya Beach Wedding (Mexico)

We have been looking forward to Chana and Marquise’s Generations Riviera Maya wedding for a long time! We all live in Philadelphia, but that didn’t stop these two love birds from having a fabulous beach wedding in winter. There’s just something so special about being able to get away to paradise to celebrate your wedding with your loved ones. The all-inclusive resort at Generations Riviera Maya is so incredibly beautiful!
Aside from the beauty of the location of this wedding, there were so may personalized details. I mean her dress, WOW. And they brought all of the decorations for the reception with them themselves. That is a huge undertaking for a destination wedding. It was very important to them that their wedding reflect their style. Their cake was beach themed but we love that and it was just a small touch to remind you were you are. And they brought in all of their own vendors for their wedding. Nothing was left to chance, and it definitely shows!
Their ceremony was held on the covered pier of the resort. This was so nice because it was hot and this kept everyone out of the direct sun. Ceremonies on the beach can be tough to photograph and there just isn’t much you can do about harsh sun and shadows. And the cocktail hour was even complete with a donkey! Everywhere we turned, we had a beautiful backdrop for photos. And you know we had the perfect sunset too.
Their reception went off without a hitch, in Generations Beachfront Palapa Ganesha set up. As I mentioned, all their details were brought from home and well thought out. Gold and glitter everywhere! We can’t forget about Marquise’s amazing unique tux. And Chana had a couple of outfit changes: one in a bride shirt and her girls had bridesmaids shirts they wore during a choreographed dance for Marquise. Then she changed into her FAB jumpsuit so she was able to really get down on the dance floor. This was one of the wildest and fun receptions we’ve captured.
