National Gallery of Art Museum Maternity & Engagement Shoot (DC)
Shea and Monique met in Downtown in DC after Monique’s best friend’s birthday celebration. she was new to the area and did not know the parking situation in DC. They both received tickets on their cars that night and Shea was nice enough to explain to Monique how to dispute it. He took a picture of the street signs and asked Monique for her number so he can send it to her. They exchanged numbers and started a friendship from there.
(Fast Forward) Shea proposed to Monique on her birthday. She had no idea. She knew Shea had something planned so she took a half a day off for work. Shea drove her to work, brought her flowers and lunch while she was there and picked her up when her shift was over. After work, he took her to get a massage, which she loved. Then they went home to change for dinner and to the new MGM Casino afterward. She loves the slots! Shea told her that they had to get back home before midnight so he raced back to the house and when she opened the door there were rose petals all over and a box on the dining room table. Shea made a box with pictures of their life together since they met in 2011. The box had other boxes inside until she got to the last one that had a message that said: “Turn Around For Your Gift”. When she turned around, he was on one knee and asked her to marry him and she said YES!!
The couple plans to get married in September 2019.
