Album Story – From the Photographer

This love story was bought to us by way of Columbus Ohio, This couple is destined for everlasting love. From the moment they met us at the elevator of the hotel until the last goodbyes. All we could see was love in their eyes. This makes for not only beautiful images but in my eyes endless love.

Every moment was filled with a smile, a tear, hand-holding, and a kind word. Most are excited about the wedding day. Not Angela & Damon, this came natural and everything fell into place. This day was made for love. It was made for Angela & Damon. Mpimages was overwhelmed with joy to witness their love. And the blending of families.

Client Questionnaire

Q1: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style, or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?
A1: The inspiration behind our special day was Wed on Wednesday. My husband was adamant about our wedding being on the day we met. So I had to use a lot of creative juices for that. We wanted to have a special evening with all of our close friends and family with our parents, our children, and ourselves as the main focus.

Q2: Let’s talk about wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
A2: Our decor was lace and elegance. The ceremony and reception spaces were decorated with soft colors of blush, cream, and gold accents. EVERYTHING was DIY (lol). In total, we spent $5,000 on our entire wedding.

Q3: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces, or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?
A3: All of our flowers were artificial to save on the costs however, everyone was very shocked when they realized that none of our flowers were real. My bride tribe did an amazing job!

Q4: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
A4: The entire day was centered around FAMILY. We had a hotel suite for my husband and me, our parents, children, and grandchildren came while we were getting ready and we left on a party bus to take photos before the ceremony. Our wedding was in August and Ohio summers are HOT and steamy!!! We also did not want to take away from any time spent with our guests by having to be whisked away to take photos after the ceremony. Since we were married on a Wednesday evening, we had a small intimate reception at relatives and then the following Saturday we had a HUGE I Do BBQ in a relative’s backyard. We had a DJ, great food and we partied until sundown!!

Q5: Let’s talk about fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.
A5: Strangely enough, my husband picked my wedding dress (lol). He and I went to the bridal shop and he said, “that’s the one.” I listened. As for his attire, we had a friend who works in a men’s clothier and he was able to get a custom-made suit to complement my dress.

Q6: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
A6: On January 15, 2017, we attended a birthday party of a mutual friend. In the midst of photos being taken by my friend, she happened to take a picture of the two of us together. At that time we were never formally introduced, but I couldn’t stop thinking about “the guy in the picture.” Some months past and we became friends on social media and after a few months of liking each other’s photos he finally asked me out, and as they say….the rest is history. During dinner one evening in May, the conversation came up of me wanting to change back to my maiden name prior to graduating from Nursing School. Without hesitation, he says, “Well, it looks like your name is going to be changing twice before graduation.” After nearly spitting out my food and gasping for air, he confirmed that he was in fact asking me to marry him. There was no ring, no glitz or glamour, just 2 people who were in love and knew they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. He clearly had a plan because he waited until December to surprise me with my engagement ring. He gave it to me on HIS BIRTHDAY because as he said, “I was his gift to him and his life.”

Q7: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
A7: When our daughters and granddaughters were waiting along the aisle and walked me down to my husband.

Q8: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
A8: Make the day about you and your husband and no one else!!! You will not be able to please everyone and in the midst of your planning, never lose focus on the love that you have for one another.
