Elegant Ruby Red Wedding (Washington, DC)
As told by Butterfly Photography: Nathan and Toyin met for the first time at Zaytinya in downtown DC. Nathan rode his bike. Toyin was on time. They ordered wine. Two of these things would happen again. For an early date, Nathan invited Toyin for a hike at Fountainhead Regional Park in Virginia. Toyin agreed but insisted on a precise location, ostensibly to avoid a Get Out type of scenario.
Both returned alive and a romance blossomed. Toyin and Nathan both love to travel with friends and together. From Costa Rica, Greece, South Africa, Colombia and Peru to Colorado, Hawaii, Delaware and Montana, they love exploring the world.
Nathan scouts hiking, scuba diving and paddle boarding. Toyin specializes in hotels, restaurants and wine tasting. Luckily the combination has made for enjoyable memories, as they bring new experiences into each others lives.
Nathan and Toyin booked a ski trip to Aspen (on miles, of course). After being lead on skis through the trees, Toyin was surprised that Nathan wanted to stop for a picture. Unexpectedly, Nathan got down on one knee, managed to not drop the ring in the snow and asked Toyin to marry him. Toyin said yes.
A local bro snowboarding by was conscripted to take a picture of the newly engaged couple.
Toyin yelled, “I’m ENGAGED!!”
“Sweet.” said the bro.
