Classy Burgundy and Navy Wedding With A Little Bit of “Bling” (South Carolina)

Marcus and Miranda met on BlackPeopleMeet.com. They were both on active duty, stationed 3 hours away from each other. Marcus proposed a few days before Miranda’s birthday on April 15th. He originally planned a romantic dinner downtown but their sitter canceled at the last minute. Putting aside his original plan, while Miranda was sitting down in the living room with her daughter crying on her lap, Marcus got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage.

Their wedding was elegant and classy with a little “bling”. They chose burgundy and navy blue as their colors, with gold being the accent color. The reception was decorated using tall and single globe crystal candelabra’s. The also had white table cloths with gold chargers, navy blue linen napkin and a elegant pearl and gold napkin holder for a little “bling”. The wedding fans, which doubled as a program were DIY provided by the bride’s sister. The flower girl baskets and gift box were also DIY. 

The florals in this wedding included white hydrangea’s, antique burgundy hydrangea’s, blush spray roses, dark burgundy roses, champagne roses, agonis, lemon leaf and eucalyptus. They were incorporated into the bridal bouquet, centerpieces and all flowers for the bridal party. The burgundy roses and eucalyptus popped among the blush roses and hydrangeas.

The bride opted for an old Hollywood feel for her wedding day, which included pin curls and a bird cage veil to go along with a fitted mermaid gown. As for Marcus, he wanted a classic look but not the traditional black tux. He chose a navy blue tux with brown shoes.
