Centennial Park/Downtown Tulsa Engagement (Tulsa, OK)
Sterling & Ashley’s love story began at a little hair salon in Tulsa, Oklahoma named Nu Look Style Shop. Ashley had gone in to get her hair done. While she was under the hairdryer, Sterling just happened to come in to get his hair cut. By chance, he walked over to talk to Ashley’s hairdresser because she had tried to set him up with one of their friends. It apparently was an epic fail.
The hairdresser sarcastically apologized, giggled, & immediately pointed to Ashley under the hairdryer & said, “Well, my friends Ashley over there is single & new to Tulsa. Maybe you should exchange numbers!” Little did she know she had a hand in their happily ever after!
Ashley explains her point of view, “He right walked over & sat in the chair in front of me to conversate. I was so not interested at first. He was eating Cheetos while talking, licking his fingers, & dumping the ends of the bag in his mouth. (I was so turned off)! He was getting ready to go & the hairdresser said, ‘Y’all exchange phone numbers & go on a date!’ (I cut my eyes at her while thinking, ‘no you didn’t just do that!’). He asked me for my number & I reluctantly gave it because I didn’t want to be mean. A few days passed & he texted me asking if he can take me out & here we are almost 6yrs later engaged!!”
“I knew Sterling was the one when my job transferred me from Tulsa, OK to Miami, FL. We had only been dating for 2 years & he quit his good paying job & moved to Florida with me & took an extreme pay cut. I also knew if he was able to see all this beauty while my hair was under construction when we met that first day, then he was definitely a keeper!”
