California Coast Wedding Styled Shoot (Santa Cruz, CA)
Love is the host of life’s most precious moments. Taking cues from the natural beauty of California’s coastline and local flora while adding in elements of grace and intimacy is a guaranteed recipe for a wedding full of love, romance, and unforgettable moments. Amber from De Joy Photography sought to show us how the beauty that surrounds us only works to reinforce the radiance we can feel when we are with the one we love. Take a moment with us to explore the possibilities that come when you let romance live in the wonder that surrounds us.
Dyana Zweng with A Bit of Earth went all out to create the perfect floral complement for the natural setting of this unique shoot. Using only the most select flowers from local farms in the Santa Cruz area, Dyana combined pink ‘Eden’ David roses from her own garden, blackberries from her home, and dinner plate dahlias, zinnias, and Bella Dona lilies from two local family farms. The oak acorns, willows, and Daucus all hail from the University of California argo-ecology farm, and the hand-tied bouquets use silk ribbon died with the same blackberries. Respecting the beauty and splendor of California, the entire bouquet is compostable after spending the rest of its life in a vase in your home.
Alexis Barry with Tart & Tin Cakes romance in nature-inspired cake invites the newlyweds and their guests to share a moment together in laughter and love as they indulge in this three-tier, three flavor masterpiece that will satisfy all tastebuds. The lower tier is a decadent brown butter cake with freshly made salted caramel and brown sugar Swiss meringue buttercream. The middle tier is vanilla bean mud cake with vanilla bean Swiss meringue buttercream. Finally, the top tier is vanilla bean mud cake with Swiss meringue buttercream with fresh strawberries and strawberry coulis.
To complement the beauty of our bride, Christine Dilullo with Epiphany Bridal Boutique chose a dress that flows naturally with the sunlit landscapes and accentuates the sense of tranquility that the scene invokes. For the groom, a sand toned suit is crisp and grounded to match the grasses and wood that define the surroundings.
Nichole Maggio with Little Sister Creative Studio takes cues from history while creating invitations that feel personal and precise with her minimalist invitations sporting authentic vintage stamps from their personal collection.
