Client Questionnaire

Q1: Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?
A1: Brandon and I met at a popular nightclub here in Atlanta called Compound in August 2011. Brandon was already living in Atlanta but it was my very first time being in Atlanta. I came to Atlanta from Minnesota to visit my best friend for the weekend. I was dancing on the dance floor and he approached me and started dancing with me. We stayed side by side for the rest of the night.

Q2: What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?
A2: Our relationship is special because we were best friends for 3 years before becoming a couple. Those 3 years of being only friends taught us more about each other. We make sure to keep our relationship exciting. We have date nights once a week, we go to concerts together, we are both huge fanatics of retro video games and collect them, we travel and we made a pact not to have huge arguments unless the bills aren’t getting paid.

Q3: How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship? (these may often be the same moment, but aren’t always)
A3: I knew Brandon was the one for me was when I introduced him to my daughter from a previous relationship back in January 2014. I still wasn’t living in Atlanta but would fly down and visit every 3-6 months. My daughter doesn’t like anyone near me but when she met Brandon, she was totally comfortable. We took my daughter to a “Build a Bear” workshop and he helped her make a teddy bear. At the end of our date, she told me she liked him a lot and how he had “anime eyes” which means his eyes were big.  We finally moved to Atlanta on July 1st, 2014, and on August 15th, we became a couple. He texted me while I was in church and said “So…..you know we go together right?!” I didn’t ask questions or second guess. I have been praying, manifesting, and professing that Brandon was going to be my man one day….and it finally happened. Brandon told me that before we confirmed our relationship, he prayed and God told him “She’s the one…..go get her.”

Q4: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
A4: Brandon decided that he was going to propose to me during his mother’s 60th birthday party in Columbia, South Carolina on July 14th, 2018. My parents flew into town from Minneapolis, MN to attend the birthday gathering as well. His plan was to propose to me while he’s doing a toast for his mom but before he got up, Brandon’s mom’s boyfriend stood up, gave a speech then proposed to his mother in front of family and friends….not knowing Brandon was about to do the same thing. Since Brandon’s mother’s boyfriend proposed first, he decided to take me outside after the toast and proposed to be under the stars outside of the event. I was totally shocked because I’ve been wanting him to propose for so long and after his mom got engaged, she took the mic and said to me, “Your time is coming….be patient.” Not knowing he was about to propose any second.

Q5: We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!
A5: The ring looks like a flower and it sparkles. I love my ring because Brandon knows I love flowers and always asks him to buy me flowers. Now I have a ring that looks like a flower and that they can cherish every day.

Q6: Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
A6: Brandon and I got married on August 16th, 2019 in Augusta Georgia. The wedding was held at Sacred Hearts Cultural Center that looks like a castle. We chose a royalty theme simply because the place looked like a castle and our friends consider us royalty.
