Album Story

Bert & Teleza were longtime friends before they found romantic love for each other. Having both participated in track and field in high school, having worked at the same ice-cream joint, and grown up in the same small town, both ventured off for college on their own separate paths. As fate would have it, they returned the same year, to find their mothers (who also worked together), plotting to set up their children. Little did their mothers know, they were already acquaintances. The love bug set in and these two have been enjoying each other’s affections ever since.

Bert proposed to Teleza on their balcony overlooking the outer harbor in Victoria, where they now live together, at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. Their wedding planning adventure began, and we were thrilled when they wanted us on board for their downtown Victoria wedding. Their families traveled from far (Africa!) and wide to see them pledge their vows to each other at the Parkside Hotel Atrium. With the sun shining upon them and the Koi swimming around them, they said I do to each other for the rest of their lives. 

It’s not hard to tell these two love each other, and they were equally enthused about exploring the park and beach with us for their wedding photos. Our day was full of laughter, adventure, and sunshine. Their easygoing personalities and playful interactions made for some of our absolute favorite images.
