Lifestyle Maternity Shoot (Olive Branch, MS)
From the Photographer: Milia and her husband Mike are welcoming a baby girl after their 4 old year son. She reached out to me and explained she wanted something around her home but needed suggestions for her outfit. We ironed out the details by deciding if she wanted something dressy or relaxed. In the end she just wanted something simple and classic. Milia also came up with the idea for the donuts because she thought it was hilarious.
CLIENT QUESTIONNAIRE
Q1: What prompted you to capture your pregnancy with a photo shoot? How did it make you feel?
A1: I enjoy photography in general, and I believe special moments like this definitely need to be documented, after all nothing lasts forever but by capturing such beautiful memories, we can share stories with our family.
Q2: How far along in your pregnancy were you when you did the shoot?
A2: 30 weeks.
Q3: How and why did you choose the setting of your maternity photoshoot?
A3: I have always dreamed of this type of photography, when you do it at home it’s pretty realistic and you get to be your self and have fun. I enjoy simple things in life, and a pregnant woman is always beautiful no matter what she is wearing.
Q4: Did you include other family members in your photoshoot, why or why not?
A4: I did include my husband and my son, because they are definitely part of this journey, and I’m so glad that my sisters in law are visiting us this summer and they were part of the photoshoot.
Q5: Do you know the gender of your baby (babies)? If so, did you incorporate this into the shoot?
A5: Yes, I’m having a little princess, I did incorporate some colors in my milk bath photography. I used purple flowers.
Q6: What was your favorite picture from the day, and why?
A6: It’s hard to choose a favorite one because they all mean something to me, but to answer the question, I love the family photo with my son kissing my belly. I can just tell that he will be such a loving big brother very soon, and just thinking about it puts me in tears.
