Garden of Eden Engagement Shoot (Jarretsville, MD)
As told by Candyce: When AJ and I first met, it was truly Gods plan aligning to bring us together. We would have never found each other on our own. I was at the end of my rope with the dating scene and vowed to stay single until I met someone who would make me feel differently. He had just moved to the state I was living in to start a new job (but nowhere near me). By happenstance, I was working at a special event for a non-profit organization at his new job and he just happened to wander in. We locked eyes and immediately were attracted to each other. By the end of the event, we had exchanged numbers and began texting each other immediately. I knew from our first conversation that he’d be “a good friend”. We discovered that we were literally the same person! Lol…. We understood each other’s sense of humor and sarcasm, shared the same favorite movies and songs, and shared the same beliefs and values. From the day we met, we talked every single day for a month.
I remembered years before joking with a friend saying, “my future husband must bring me flowers, take my coat, and pull out my chair.”
So finally AJ asked me out on our first date. He showed up with flowers. When we got to the restaurant, he took my coat, and pulled out my chair. I reverted back to the conversation I had years before and was speechless….(just thinking about that still gives me chills).
From the first date, we were inseparable. We dated for 2 years before AJ planned an elaborate surprise proposal with my entire family present. I’m so excited to be marrying my very best friend, the man that God created just for me.
