“Year of the Dog” Chinese New Year Styled Shoot (Toronto)

Chinese New Year (which is tomorrow February 16) is always celebrated with friends and family at home, and eating together is always part of the 15-day celebration.  Although food is a very important element at these get-togethers, oftentimes the visual and aesthetic experience for the guests may be overlooked.

For this very reason, the vendors featured in this shoot, wanted to create a Styled Shoot that focused on the design elements of the Chinese New Year dining table. By tying in Asian heritage, East and West decor elements and high end designers, this shoot features not only great design but designs that could be use at any type of celebration or event.

Notably, this shoot features the “Yin and Yang concept”, as well as the Pantone’s color of year for 2017; greenery. The color combinations used in both versions of this shoot, are simply amazing, especially when you consider that finding an Asian design that does not feature the color “red”, is rare.
